Greater Detroit Camera Club Council Sponsored  Badlands Trip
Open to everyone - bring a friend!
Event Lead: Ward J McGinnis; Sponsoring Club:  Lapeer Area Photography Club
Over the period of time we are in Wall, South Dakota we will mostly be at the Badlands.  However, we will also spend one day in the Black Hills viewing Custer State Park and Mount Rushmore.
Meet up times will be set each evening for the next day.
Location:   Wall, South Dakota  It takes a minimum 15 hours of driving to arrive; so Ward splits that into two days to get there.
Wall has two decent RV parks; Ward will be staying at Sleepy Hollow Rv park. Also there are several motels in the area (Days Inn, Best Western, Super 8, Motel 6 to name a few).
Date:   May 16, 2022 at 7 AM EDT - May 21, 2022 at 12:55 AM EDT
  Additional planning details will be shared with confirmed participants.
What to bring:  camera, tripod, wide angle and telephoto lens, ND filters, Polarizer filter
What to wear:  comfortable shoes and clothing
**All trip reservations and costs are the responsibility of the participant.**
The GDCCC board voted to sponsor 50% of the cost of this class - please share with your club members - this was set up with the intent of benefiting all the clubs as a way for the council to give back.   A report will be provided by Drew of all participants using the code as a method of determining the GDCCC portion of the payment; names will be validated at that time to confirm each person who used the code is a paid member.
This is open to the public so anyone not a paid member of your club may participate at the full cost of $12.00.

The attached pdf file identifies the important dates, judges and categories of images. Individuals can submit up to four images into each of the five categories. The cost is $8 for each category.

Club Goal

To better the photographic ability of its members and to give them an outlet through photographic competitions and events.
The club will sponsor at least one field trip a year.
